Ah yes, now we have Kevin, singled out by Mr. Manhas, who does that thing — embarrasing Keving by praising Trevor. Why not just paint a target on the kid?

Good old Mr. Manhas. His surname is from a former classmate of mine, but his manner borrows heavily from one of my former art teachers. He was the kind of teacher who seemed to hate teaching, who would punish the class because one student did… something? I didn’t realize that’s who I was channeling here until well after I’d written these pages.
