I can’t resist — I want to write about this page. I love it! It’s exactly what I wanted the page to be. It’s slow, it barely involves Trevor, but it’s needed to set up the next interaction. An exercise in contrasts, on so many fronts. (Plus, note the very subtle foreshadowing of the cosmic adventure to come!)

Yes, I know… like so much of the start of this story, it’s an indulgence to take the time for a scene like this. So? The whole story is an indulgence! All of this may very well be a fool’s errand… but at least I can have the story unfold how I think it should. And at least for the moment, I’m pleased with the results.
